Wow! What an assignment this has been! This time around, the theme was 'style and technique': we had to study the artistic styles of three different graphic designers / photographers / illustrators / whatever, and then create a poster, billboard or other advertorial device replicating aspects of said styles; for a fictional Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards 2013 ad campaign. Oh, and it had to have something to do with an NZ band or musician (my choice was Ladyhawke, in particular her songs). Sounds easy, right? Well, not really - my full-to-overflowing visual diary, packed with research, concepts, more research, more concepts and a further round of both, in triplicate, shows just how tricky it was to get the right look for each of my three adshel posters. But it's been fun, and I know how to do so many things I didn't know how to do before, so that's got to count for something.....

adshel posters. Run, my children–be free!
